Gary Colvin - Trustee

Gary started his career with the Ford Motor Company as a development engineer.   Following a call to missions he went to study at All Nations Christian College.  Next was assisting a pastor in Weston Super Mare for a year.  Following this preparation he went to Pakistan with SIM for 10 years involved in field leadership, youth work and co-ordinating a Theological Education by Extension programme.  He joined Tearfund in 1992 and later became the Head of International HR.  In 2009 Gary became the Head of HR at MAF and retired at the end of July 2017.  He now is involved in mentoring Christian leaders as well as conducting a number of HR and training projects with mission agencies and churches.  He is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and has also been the vice chairman on the board of Feba Radio and chairperson of the Global Connections International HR Forum.

Gary and his wife Jenny have two grown up children.  They worship in their nearby parish church where he leads a home group, occasionally preaches, and leads services.  Gary’s interests include walking, squash, photography and the theatre.
