Main Working Model:
Psychodynamic counselling focuses on unconscious thought processes that have become manifest in the present life. Together we will reflect on early life experiences and beliefs to gain insight into your present day problems. The goal of psychodynamic counselling is your increased self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on your present life.
How I Work:
Counselling offers a place where you can talk freely about things that are troubling you. The sessions can be on an open-ended or more solution focussed short-term basis, where the number of sessions is agreed at the onset of counselling. In both models we will work psychodynamically. Together we will reflect on early life experiences and beliefs to help you understand the root of thinking and behavioural patterns. The exploration and understanding of unhelpful thinking patterns will enable you to gradually make changes and to live a truer and more fulfilled life.
