Angela Painter - Chief Executive

Angela has been passionate about supporting the transformation of lives through whole-person care since her teenage years when volunteering as a Public Health Worker in India. Having qualified and worked as a Registered Children’s and General Nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospitals, she went on to become a Health Visitor working in South London and Kent. Her management and leadership experience was gained through a variety of roles within the NHS including: Mental Health lead, Locality Manager, Public Health Specialist and as a Trustee of several organisations and charities including: Sevenoaks Area Youth Trust, South West Kent Primary Care Trust, West Kent Housing Association and currently DAVSS (a domestic abuse charity). Angela spent 2 years, whilst still working full time in the NHS, exploring a calling to ordained ministry. She then moved into the charity sector as Chief Executive of the Kent based Christian Charity; Kenward Trust which provides support services in the areas of drug and alcohol misuse, offending and homelessness. Angela’s other key interests are linked to community outreach activities, swimming, travelling, football (a committed West Ham F.C. Supporter), the arts and meals shared with friends. She and her husband Keith live in Sevenoaks and have two married daughters.
