We are committed to working within the mystery of suffering and Christian healing. We aim to keep the love of Christ at the heart of care, and to be a sign of the Kingdom of God in a hurting world.
In addition to our resident Anglican chaplains ministry is offered through our Catholic and Free Church chaplains, and other trained and skilled voluntary staff drawn from our community and local churches. We offer time, prayer and sacrament, always aware that we are only channels for the healing love and power of Jesus Christ. We respect the freedom of all our patients and guests to accept or decline Chaplaincy care and welcome people of all faiths and none, never imposing our faith on those who come.
We offer a Ministry Guest Package for ministers, spouses or anyone whose ministry involves pastoral care and is in need of time out to prayerfully unwind and refresh mind, body and spirit.
In addition, we work in partnership with St Luke’s Healthcare for the Clergy to offer care for clergy. Please contact us for more details.
The Burrswood Prayer Walk is based on 10 specially selected hymns. The words of these hymns are displayed at different points around the garden. You are invited to pause at each point and meditate on the verses that speak to you most. Copies are available at Burrswood.
