Swimming Lessons

Our swimming lessons take place in the warm, secure environment of our hydrotherapy pool. The water is a uniform depth of 1 metre and heated to a consistent 33-35ºC. Lessons are available for all ages, including adults in small groups of 4 – 6 to encourage confidence and progress.

We only use qualified ASA instructors and children’s lessons follow the ASA National Teaching Plan for water skills awards

We welcome pre-school children at:

• Parents and Babes - These half-hour sessions are organised on a first come first served basis and are held purely for fun and relaxation in the water without any instruction.  Equipment and toys are available for babies and toddlers from 4 months to 2 years of age.  There is no pre-booking, but numbers in the pool are limited.
• Waterbabes - There is high demand for these half-hour sessions which are only available by pre-booking on a term basis.  The instructors are all ASA approved and hold a specific qualification that permits them to ‘teach’ these sessions which specifically demonstrate to parents how to encourage their babies and toddlers to gain confidence in the water, with a strong emphasis on safety.  Recommended age range is 4 months to 3½ years.
