London Marathon 2010

Laura Bennett daughter of Anthony Bennett, Chair of our Events committee is running in the Virgin London Marathon on 25th April in aid of Burrswood. Laura is currently training hard in order to meet the challenge the marathon presents and is regularly seen running along the embankment in her lunch hour. Laura who works for the legal firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, is looking forward to completing her first full marathon.

Laura says “the training is arduous to say the least and the repetitive diet of pasta is proving difficult to be inspired about. However, when I think of how lucky I am to get a place in the marathon and the money I hope to raise for charity, it inspires me to work harder and train regularly”.
