Our Intensive Rehabilitation package will help a patient to gain as much independence as is possible following either;

• a major trauma, such as a major stroke or accident
• a long debilitating period in hospital

Patient’s who come under this care category will receive twice daily physiotherapy or hydrotherapy and intensive nursing if required, to help them build up their mobility and general independence. Burrswood’s commitment to providing high quality food with excellent nutritional content will contribute to the patient’s overall wellbeing. Rooms are equipped with hoists and specialist adapted baths; in addition our nurses are very experienced in manual handling.  The package includes medical cover, the provision of hoisting and air mattress, as well as pastoral support.

Our discharge liaison nurse will help organise a patient's discharge to ensure they receive the level of care they need when they get home.
