Care and Counselling
(Residential counselling as a hospital inpatient)

A percentage of Burrswood hospital beds in individual rooms are set aside for short-term counselling stays. These can be of one, two or three weeks and is an intensive, empathic and patient-centred model of therapy.

 

In the safety of the tranquil Burrswood environment in Kent, patients can start to tell their stories and make sense of their particular circumstances, gently being helped towards the personal insights they may be seeking.

 

The Burrswood Counselling Service is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and is bound by its code of ethics, practice and complaints procedure.  The Burrswood counsellors are all members or accredited members of the BACP and have all been trained to at least Diploma level. Therefore they can all provide a wide range of therapeutic interventions and approaches.
