As a registered charity Burrswood does not receive any direct government funding. It relies on income from fees, donations, profits from its trading activities and fundraising initiatives.
This income is used to support the overarching mission of Burrswood, sustain the Access to Care fund (which helps those who cannot otherwise afford to come to Burrswood), and to support specific capital appeal projects for the redevelopment or upgrading of our facilities. Therefore we fundraise into three specific 'streams':
Donors are invited to specify where they would like their money to go.
We approach those grant-making Trusts whose focus matches well with our mission and purpose.
We hold various events throughout the year such as concerts, fairs, auctions, dinners, golf days and many more.
In the local community we work with fundraising groups in schools and churches, encouraging people to hold coffee mornings, table top sales and sponsored events.
We are also developing relationships with corporate organisations to support Burrswood as their 'chosen charity'
Legacies are a vital source of funds and make a crucial contribution
