Whether you have just discovered Burrswood or already know us well, we would love you to know us better and to deepen your relationship with us, even when you cannot be here.

The first Fellowship was established by Burrswood’s founder Dorothy Kerin in the early 1930s to support the work of Chapel House, her then home of healing in Ealing, West London. Now members of the Burrswood Fellowship, also known as Friends continue to play a vital role in our work through prayer and practical and financial help. The Fellowship scheme is a central part of Burrswood and helps us stay connected with all our supporters.

What are the benefits?

The Burrswood News – a lively and informative magazine received by members three times a year, giving news of members all over the world, of staff, forthcoming events and topical issues;

Fellowship Day – a memorable and joyful annual celebration in July to which all members are warmly invited. Come and join other members of the Burrswood ‘family’ to catch up with old friends, enjoy the grounds, hear the speeches, attend the afternoon Eucharist and stay for the evening concert. We have a large marquee on the lower lawn and live music while we enjoy a delicious lunch and tea. Do come and share it with us!

A transcript of all the speeches given at Fellowship Day 2009 and be downloaded here

Visits at any time - Come to one of our quiet days, or walk in the beautiful gardens, have a home-cooked lunch or tea in Bocky’s Kitchen, visit the Bookshop and Gift Shop, or come to one of the services held in the Church of Christ the Healer . You are most welcome at any time.

We do hope that you will join us and become a part of the Burrswood family!

Subscriptions

The full annual subscription is £36.00. However since we realise this may be difficult for some and others may wish to give more, we invite you to pay the right amount for you. We now have an annual renewal date of 1st January, which means that those who join after 1st July are only asked to pay £18.00 for the remainder of the year. Payment can be either by cheque (payable to ‘the Dorothy Kerin Trust’) or standing order form here

Prayer

We are so grateful to our Fellowship members for the help they give us, in whatever form; but their prayer support is particularly precious to us. All who receive the Burrswood News also receive the prayer diary, which can be used on a regular or daily basis to pray for Burrswood’s ministry. We are especially thankful to those who regularly pray for us – we know that the work here could not continue without it.
