our Burrswood Fellowship
Please find below a letter explaining where we are in the process of developing new services and reviewing the way we work. A fuller account of how Burrswood is evolving and the thinking behind these changes will be found in the forthcoming edition of the ‘Burrswood News’ which will be sent out in July. Meanwhile, another document is attached which explains more about our vision for the future.
Whether you have just discovered Burrswood or already know us well, we would love you to know us better and to deepen your relationship with us, even when you cannot be here.
The first Fellowship was established by Burrswood’s founder Dorothy Kerin in the early 1930s to support the work of Chapel House, her then home of healing in Ealing, West London. Now members of the Burrswood Fellowship, also known as Friends continue to play a vital role in our work through prayer and practical and financial help. The Fellowship scheme is a central part of Burrswood and helps us stay connected with all our supporters.
What are the benefits?
The Burrswood News – a lively and informative magazine received by members twice a year, giving news of members all over the world, of staff, forthcoming events and topical issues;
Fellowship Events – special events at Burrswood and elsewhere to which all members are warmly invited. Come and join other members of teh Fellowship to catch up with old friends and meet other supporters.
Visits at any time - Come to one of our Quiet Days, or walk in the beautiful gardens, have a home-cooked lunch or tea in Burrswood Tea Room, visit the Bookshop and Gift Shop, or come to one of the services held in the Church of Christ the Healer . You are most welcome at any time.
We do hope that you will join us and become a part of the Burrswood family!
The full annual subscription is £36.00 but we are grateful that in many cases people offer an additional donations. Payment can be either by cheque (payable to ‘the Dorothy Kerin Trust’) or standing order form here.
We are so grateful to our Fellowship members for the help they give us, in whatever form; but their prayer support is particularly precious to us. All who receive the Burrswood News also receive the prayer diary, which can be used on a regular or daily basis to pray for Burrswood’s ministry. We are especially thankful to those who regularly pray for us – we know that the work here could not continue without it.
